Europe 40 under 40. NUA arquitectures selected among the 40 most promising architecture studios in Europe under the age of 40 according to the European Center for Architecture, Design and Urban Studies, and the Chicago Athenaeum Museum.

Selected contest. ‘La Teixidora’, a proposal selected in the Collective Housing Contest for the construction of 36 public homes in Palma de Mallorca.

Mies van der Rohe nomination. The project of Rehabilitation and Enlargement of the Gon-Gar Workshops nominated for the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award.

The New Cultural Space at the Torredembarra Theatre, Ex-Aequo Award in the category of restoration, rehabilitation and reform of the XI edition of the awards of the Alejandro de la Sota Biennial, Tarragona Architecture Exhibition. Venice Architecture Biennial Selected. The Centre for the Food Distribution Service of Camp Clar selected from among the 7 buildings to represent Catalonia in the Catalan pavilion of the Venice Architecture Biennale 2016. Commissioners: Jaume Prat, Jelena Prokopljevic and Isaki Lacuesta.

Finalist V Near Arch. The Center for the Food Distribution Service of Camp Clar, a finalist work in the V Arquia/Próxima Program of Arquia Foundation, ‘Futur imperfecte’.

First prize Competition. Competition for the drafting of the Master Plan of the Roman Circus Space of Tarragona. Team formed jointly with Estanislau Roca and NAM Arquitectura. Tarragona City Council.

First prize ‘Emprèn’. NUA arquitectures winner project in the category of energy efficiency and sustainability of Emprèn Awards 2016 of the Provincial Council of Tarragona.

ArchDaily nomination. The Campclar Food Distribution Service Center, Nominated in the Industrial Architecture Category as work of the year by Architecture Platform/ArchDaily.

 

2015

Alejandro de la Sota Award. The Centre for the Food Distribution Service of Campclar, Ex-equo Award in the category of buildings for public use and Alejandro de la Sota Award in the IX edition of the Alejandro de la Sota Biennial awards, Tarragona Architecture Exhibition. First prize Competition. Competition to transform the lobby of the Torredembarra Theatre into a cultural space. Torredembarra Town Hall. Team formed jointly with NAM arquitectura.

Second prize Competition. Contest ‘La Muntanyeta’. Reform and extension of the old Bonavista institute to make the new equipment of the Provincial Association of Brain Paralysis of Tarragona. Team formed jointly with NAM arquitectura.

 

2014

Selected IV Arquia Pròxima. NUA arquitectures selected as an emerging young study of the East and North area of the IV edition of the Arquia/Pròxima program.

Second prize Competition. Competition called by BIMSA for the construction of a facility for young people and the elderly on the ‘Transformadors’ site in the Barcelona expansion. Team formed jointly with ZFA Architecture & Urban Lab.

Finalist Solvia. Solvia Award for innovation in housing design. International competition called by Solvia – Banco Sabadell. Jury: Anne Lacaton, Miquel Molins, Josep Bohigas, Juan Herreros, Xavier Monteys and Zaida Muxí.

Honorary mention Contest. ‘Other Nativity scenes’. Jury: Manuel Gausa, Carme Pigem, Pep Duran, Alfons Flores, Josep Bofill and Eva Prats.
