We are a versatile and flexible team that works with professionals from different fields to develop projects tailored to the specific needs of each situation, actively working with the inhabitants of the places and spaces we design.

NUA is directed by Arnau Tiñena, who has a degree in architecture from ETSAB (2010) and a research master’s degree in urban planning from UPC (2017) and Ferran Tiñena, who has a degree in architecture from ETSAB (2011) and a research master’s degree in urban planning from UPC (2017). Both earned their degrees with the highest honours and supplemented their training at European schools of architecture (Ljubljana and Venice).

Arnau and Ferran combine their practice with research and teaching. They are currently teachers of Architecture and Urban Design at the School of Architecture of the Rovira i Virgili University (ETSA-URV), and they explore the dynamics of the territorial scale and urban design through their Ph.D. research.
