We are a versatile and flexible team that works with professionals from different fields to develop projects tailored to the specific needs of each situation, actively working with the inhabitants of the places and spaces we design.
NUA is headed by Maria Rius, who has a degrees in architecture from ETSAB (2011) and in graphic design by EINA (2014), Arnau Tiñena, who has a degree in architecture from ETSAB (2010) and a research master’s degree in urban development from UPC (2017) and Ferran Tiñena, who has a degree in architecture from ETSAB (2011) and a research master’s degree in urban development from UPC (2017). The three earned their degrees with the highest honours and supplemented their training at European schools of architecture (Edinburgh, Ljubljana and Venice). Maria, Arnau and Ferran combine their practice with research and teaching. They are currently teachers of project and urban design at the Reus School of Architecture (EAR) and explore the dynamics of the territorial scale, urban design and collective housing through the Ph.D.
